Co-sponsored with the United States Embassy to the Holy See, this conference at the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome will examine the moral, socio-economic and political aspects of philanthropy. In particular, what kind of people, conditions and institutions foster charitable giving and what can be done to increase the scope for this type of civil-society activity?
