Since its beginning, six years ago, Harambee has grown and established in several countries like Spain, France, Portugal, USA and Ireland and it has supported 28 social and educational initiatives in 14 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.
The Harambee Project was possible thanks to the enthusiasm and the experience of ICU -the Institute for University Cooperation, an Italian  NGO with more than forty years of experience in development international cooperation. The Harambee international growth has now brought to its own legal identity, independently of the ICU which will continue to assess in the technical matters linked to cooperation.
Therefore, last June 2008 the Harambee Africa International ONLUS Association has been set up in Rome; it will be in charge of the coordination of the international projects.
