Harambee participates at the 75th edition of the International Fair of Valladolid.
From September 6 to 13, coinciding with the celebrations of the City, is held in Valladolid the 75th edition of the International Fair. More than 430 companies present their products to over 300,000 visitors.
Even though the goal is mainly corporate and commercial, the fair hosts several social initiatives, welfare or education. Among the many stands you can visit one of Harambee, along with other associations and non-governmental organizations at national or local level.

"It is the first time that Harambee takes part at such a popular event," says Jesus Gonzalez Casado, one of the volunteers who organized the event "this first experience can be useful to disseminate information on Africa and on the activities promoted by the Association."
Information panels, brochures, calendars, posters and flyers will be distributed to explain the ongoing projects and, above all, to spring a positive image of the African continent. Documentaries and winners of the various editions of the audiovisual Harambee Award will also be shown. |

Nina Parker, one of the organizers, says that several, different, initiatives take place at Valladolid to support the Harambee's projects: concerts, exhibitions, debates and conferences. Among the various initiatives, the photographic exhibition held as a tribute to R. Kapuscynsky was really a success. "The Fair of Valladolid also can be a useful activity -says Nina- and it can count on many volunteers who wish to collaborate and learn." |
