Implementation of an intensive training programme for 406 teachers, involving 58 schools and 10,000 pupils.

Description of the project :

The project arose from the need to provide systematic and continuous support to elementary education in Guinea, especially in the more deprived areas of the interior of the country. This was done by running specially-designed training courses for heads of schools in rural areas, which are expanding rapidly but lack funds and properly qualified staff. Head teachers were targeted first in order to promote the training of the whole educational sector.
