Home > News > Solidarity Study: at the Punta Sveva Cultural Center in Bari the girls are studying for Africa.

The goal is to turn every hour of study into 1 euro to be devolved to the projects of Harambee, with the cooperation of a sponsor. Twenty students of the Punta Sveva Cultural Center  inaugurated a study room for “Studio Solidale”.The director, Maria Dolores Garcia Clavel, explained that “the girls have chosen to support the women and children in Batwa-Burundi, and the improvement of the professional training of nurses in R.D. of Congo“. She said: “Right now we reached 130 hours of study but we are only at the beginning and we hope to involve more and more students “.

“Solidarity Study” is an initiative of sensitization and solidarity for students and companies in order to support the development and cooperation projects of Harambee Africa International.
During an established period of time, students choose a place and offer their own hours of study. For every hour a sponsor will give 1 euro to the Harambee’s projects.

The initiative provides an opportunity to think about the importance of having access to education and training for people and makes it possible to contribute concretely to the implementation of educational interventions in Sub-Saharan Africa.
