Strengthening five agricultural institutes located in different areas of Cameroon: this is the aim of the project that Harambee wants to support, in 2019, in the country. At the agricultural training schools, run by associations of families (and followed by CNEFAC), girls and boys are formed to a modern agriculture, alternating theory and practice in their fields or on other farms. Each student is personally followed by a tutor and the families are involved in the learning process.

The aim is to enhance and revitalise agricultural resources and to give our children, who often leave school, the opportunity to take charge of their own lives“, EFA coordinator.

The challenge is to show young people that they can stay in their villages and work successfully, avoiding emigration to cities with uncertain outcomes.
