The winner of the first edition is Wycliffe Guguni, who received the prize (in cash, thanks to the contribution of the Association of Popular Banks) during a ceremony held in Rome on 24 May 2019.

Guguni was awarded for the initiative: “IMPROVING SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT & YOUTH LEVELIHOODS IN KIBERA INFORMAL SETTLEMENTS, KENYA”. The young entrepreneur will then be offered the opportunity to be supported by the Strathmore Business School for the realization of his project.
