The goal: improve agricultural yield so as to reinforce nutrition, by providing professional training to women working the land. The Nyakalado Rural Women Solidarity Group, a project supported by Harambee, was launched with this vision in the rural communities of Nyakalado, in the Tororo district in West Uganda.

Thanks to the initial contributions sent, they have purchased seeds (corn, beans, potatoes) and have also begun training sessions for 85 young women participating in the program. This will later benefit some 400 people that live in huts close to an area where agriculture is the only way to support oneself, and that totally hinges upon the rains, which are increasingly scarce. The fundraising continues. With a small contribution, we can guarantee the nourishment needed for many families.
