Last Saturday, 25 June, the first edition of the ‘Fashion Market’ organised by the Harambee Portugal Committee took place in Lisbon. The aim of the event was to raise funds for the scholarship project promoted by Dignity No Profit People Onlus to accompany the growth and training of talented young Mozambicans.

The event, which attracted great interest, consisted of second-hand clothes sales and an auction of clothes from sustainable Portuguese brands. In the afternoon, panel discussions were held with authoritative guests with whom sustainable fashion, ethical consumption and solidarity were discussed.

The project was made possible thanks to the collaboration of Uccla (União das Cidades Capitais de Língua Portuguesa), the Matambo tailor’s production “Dignity Made – feito em Moçambique” and the fashion project “Mahaba – intercultural ethical fashion”, created by Alessandra Cortese/Dignity No Profit People.
