With great joy, we announce the publication of the Proceedings of the Conference organized on the occasion of Harambee Africa International’s 20th anniversary. The “Be To Care” Symposium took place from September 28th to 30th, 2022. The Twentieth Anniversary Conference brought together experts, academics, and representatives from African organizations actively involved in development. Key topics addressed during the conference included socio-economic development in Africa, education, women’s empowerment, entrepreneurship, communication, and much more. The aim was to reflect on lessons learned and identify new approaches to strengthen crucial alliances and move beyond traditional aid concepts.

The publication collects the presentations delivered by speakers, engaging discussions that enlivened the sessions, and key recommendations developed by the participants over the course of the three days. It includes the text of the introductory lecture by Mons. Fernando Ocariz, Prelate of Opus Dei, delivered in multiple languages. Mons. Ocariz emphasized the importance of responding to hardships and injustices, united in the same eagerness to serve humanity.

The Proceedings provide an intriguing source of information for those interested in gaining insights into proposed perspectives and solutions in the field of sustainable development in Africa. They also serve as a testament to Harambee’s commitment to sharing best practices and promoting effective international collaboration, encouraging constructive dialogue and offering inspiration for future initiatives and projects aimed at improving the lives of people in Africa and beyond.

The volume is available on Amazon at this link  and the proceeds will support development initiatives promoted by Harambee in Sub-Saharan Africa.
