The prize was awarded in Madrid to Esther Tallah, pediatrician and head of the international program for maternal and child health.  

Tallah has dedicated her professional life to improving the living conditions of the most vulnerable members of the Cameroonian population and recently founded an association for the promotion of education among young women.
