Home > News > Rwanda. 75 young women are being trained to enter the labour market.

Activities are continuing in the Kigali, Butare and Ruhengeri area, in Rwanda, as part of the project that Harambee started in 2018 in collaboration with the local Episcopal Conference. Thanks to the contributions collected, it was possible to send a new contribution of 5,400 euros for the vocational training of 75 single mothers.

The problem of unwanted pregnancies among girls is widespread and has serious consequences: these young people are forced to leave school, are marginalized and live in a state of perennial shame.  Even children are not well looked after and have a future marked by discrimination, despite the fact that mothers have been abused and are in no way responsible for what has happened.

The implementation of theoretical training courses will therefore contribute to their social and economic redemption.
