Home > Progetti > KENYA -Integration of Street Children from Boystown Ruai, Nairobi

Promoter: Boystown-Ruai (BTR)

Description
Among the most serious problems afflicting the suburbs of Nairobi are the street children: orphans and disadvantaged wandering the streets, often involved in theft and robbery, and addicted to alcohol, smoking and drugs. The project aims to support the Rehabilitation Centre for Vulnerable Children that the Archdiocese of Nairobi has entrusted to the Congregation of Jesus and Mary. The Centre provides shelter, food and health care for street children and offers scholarships for their education.  In particular, the project aims to help strengthen food security and support the education of children between the ages of 7 and 17.

Beneficiaries: 100 boys

Contribution requested: € 18,000
