Associação Centro de Ensino e Agricultura do Gurué – ACEAG
In the rural areas which the project adresses, there are still problems that threaten the subsistence of the people; in particular, there is a lack of drinking water and electricity almost everywhere. The project therefore aims to contribute to the improvement of the population’s living conditions by strengthening the agricultural skills of women in order to ensure greater economic autonomy and promote a diversified diet for families. In addition, agricultural gardens will be created and chicken production will be started.
400 families, currently represented by 150 women between 20 and 55 years old.
Harambee contribution: 20,000 € (cost 1 year, two-year project)
