Description
In Burundi, the Batwa community represents 1% of the population and is recognized by the National Constitution as the third ethnic group with the Hutu and the Tutsis. It is a minority that has always been discriminated against and enjoys no rights, not even basic ones. The majority of them are illiterate and live in very precarious housing structures. With the decline of traditional sources of income (hunting, blacksmithing and pottery), this population survives by begging.

Activity
The project seeks to help the population of Mutimbuzi, contributing to the schooling of children and the socio-economic promotion of women.

Recipients: 50 Batwa children and 100 women between 18 and 30 years of age
