Support for “Protea Glen High School” – Soweto, South Africa
South Africa suffers from high levels of unemployment among its youth. The main cause is an inefficient educational system, an inheritance left by the apartheid.
Thanks to fundraising, we guarantee temporary support for projects of African organizations aimed at meeting basic needs in the fields of education, vocational training, and health. We are committed to supporting sustainable initiatives that can continue independently after our intervention.
South Africa suffers from high levels of unemployment among its youth. The main cause is an inefficient educational system, an inheritance left by the apartheid.
The objective of the project is to allow marginalized children in Atteridgeville, Pretoria entrance into St. Anne’s Primary School and to involve young university volunteers in the initiative.
The project targeted the education of women, both young and adult. This is an essential part of tackling the most urgent problems of the area (dropouts from school, prostitution, unemployment, HIV-AIDS, high divorce rate).
